Seyi Tinubu has expressed support for celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, following his defeat in the APC primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest had contested for the All Progressives Congress ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections but lost to the incumbent representative, Canice Nwachukwu, after securing 14 votes in the primary.
Reacting to the outcome, Seyi Tinubu shared an encouraging message on Instagram, telling the socialite not to be discouraged by the setback and expressing confidence in his future potential.
The post was later reposted by Cubana Chief Priest on his own page.
Speaking after the election, the nightlife promoter said he had no regrets about participating in the race, describing himself as someone unafraid to take chances.
However, he admitted feeling disappointed over what he described as misplaced trust in some community elders, noting that despite his support and contributions, he received only 14 votes during the primary exercise.
The result has since sparked conversations across social media, with supporters encouraging him to remain active in politics while critics questioned his political influence despite his visible support for the ruling party.
