Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido has thrown his support behind the Super Eagles by placing a $50,000 bet on Nigeria in their Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semi-final against Morocco.
The DMW Records boss shared his betting slip on Instagram, showing confidence in the Eagles to advance to the tournament final. His wager, placed on the popular platform Stake, includes predictions such as both teams scoring and an over 1.5-goal total — with attractive odds of 6.97.
Davido even promised to double his stake if Nigeria makes the final. At those odds, he could pocket an estimated $348,274 (around ₦500 million) if his prediction comes true.
This isn’t the first time the Grammy-nominated artist has backed the Super Eagles with his money. Earlier in the tournament, he reportedly earned a payout of over $96,000 by correctly predicting Nigeria’s Group C match against Tanzania.
The Super Eagles will meet hosts Morocco in a high-stakes semi-final showdown on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
