The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not made up of “saints,” but argued that it remains a stronger option for Nigeria compared to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Keyamo made the remark in a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday. He referenced an interview he granted to a blog in 2017, saying that a portion of his comments had recently been circulated online without full context.

According to him, the viral clip excluded the concluding part of his statement, where he stressed that although the APC is not perfect, it represented a better direction for the country at the time.

In reiterating his stance, Keyamo said no political party can honestly claim to be flawless. He added that anyone who describes their political party as a gathering of “saints” would be unrealistic.

The minister maintained that, despite its imperfections, the APC still provides what he described as the best path forward for Nigeria when compared with the PDP administration that previously governed the country.

He also referenced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that Tinubu did not align with the PDP during its years in power.
