Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has advised lawmaker Leke Abejide to remain in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and build on the political structure he has established.
In a video circulating online, Gbajabiamila described the Kogi State representative as a determined and loyal party member, urging him not to abandon the platform he has invested in over the years.
He encouraged Abejide to resist any pressure to defect—particularly to the All Progressives Congress (APC)—and instead focus on securing another electoral victory under the ADC.
Gbajabiamila also called on him to stand firm against internal opposition within the party, expand his support base, and bring in allies, including Bala Nafiu Gombe, to strengthen his position.
According to him, no individual or group should be allowed to take control of a political structure built through personal effort, commitment, and resources.
The development comes shortly after the party’s National Working Committee, led by David Mark, announced the expulsion of Abejide and some others over alleged anti-party activities.
