President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent shockwaves through the political landscape by declaring that his administration is an unbreakable, direct continuation of the late Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
Speaking to the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Abuja on Thursday, Tinubu boldly dismissed the idea of a “break” between administrations, famously remarking, “The truth is I took over from myself.
Buhari is me; he was a partner.” By framing the transition as a handoff to himself, the President emphasized that he was the engine room behind the policies of the last decade and remains fully committed to that path.
While acknowledging the “difficulties” and economic hardships Nigerians are currently facing, Tinubu urged his supporters to remain patient, insisting that “if something is wrong, we live with it, correct it, and move on.” He sent a fierce, defiant message to the
opposition already eyeing the 2027 elections, vowing that he will not be intimidated or “scared off” by political threats. “I’ve been through this path before,” he declared, assuring his followers that their current sacrifices will lead to a future they won’t regret, as he stays focused on his “Renewed Hope” mission.
