Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Sunday hosted a delegation of residents from Nasarawa Local Government Area who paid him a solidarity visit at his residence in Kano.
Reacting to the visit in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kwankwaso thanked the group for standing by him, describing their show of support as courageous and selfless despite recent political challenges.
He noted that the delegation’s loyalty was driven by a shared commitment to the collective growth and welfare of the people, rather than personal interest. According to him, their actions reflect resilience and faith in the broader vision they represent.
Kwankwaso further stated that the visit reaffirmed the strength of the Kwankwasiyya movement, which he said remains anchored on grassroots mobilisation and enduring political ideals.
He assured supporters that the movement’s resolve remains strong and unbroken.
Expressing optimism about the future, the NNPP stalwart said the struggle continues with confidence, adding that success will ultimately come through the will of the people and divine grace.
Meanwhile, the development comes amid recent turmoil within the NNPP, following the resignation of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside several federal and state lawmakers and local government chairmen, reportedly due to leadership disputes and ongoing legal issues within the party.
