President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that he will not be deterred by opposition forces as the country moves toward the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Thursday during a meeting with national, zonal, and state leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu said attempts to intimidate him would not succeed, noting that he has faced similar challenges in the past.

He reaffirmed his commitment to democratic values, urging political actors to respect the rule of law, court decisions, and the independence of the judiciary, regardless of personal or political interests.

The President also called for unity and adherence to constitutional principles, emphasizing that democracy must be upheld through lawful conduct and institutional respect.

Describing his Renewed Hope agenda as a mission to tackle poverty and drive national development, Tinubu appealed to party leaders and supporters to take the message of his reforms to grassroots communities across the country.

While acknowledging that some of his policies may come with short-term difficulties, he expressed confidence that they would ultimately lead to long-term growth and improved living standards.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to nation-building, stressing that collective effort and a shared vision are essential for the country’s progress.

Earlier, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, who serves as Director-General and National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, encouraged members of the group to strengthen support for the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the grassroots level.

Uzodinma described members of the group as key representatives of the administration and urged them to engage communities—including youths, traders, and religious groups—to promote the government’s policies.

Also speaking, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda praised Tinubu’s efforts in infrastructure and energy development, assuring him of the party’s continued support in delivering effective governance.
