Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has celebrated the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 86th birthday, commending his enduring leadership and wisdom.
In a message shared on his official X account, Saraki highlighted the monarch’s rare ability to harmonise modern legal knowledge with deeply rooted traditional values. He noted that such a balance requires exceptional insight and discipline.
He further praised the Emir’s more than three decades on the throne, describing his reign as one marked by stability, fairness, and a strong sense of responsibility to his people.
Saraki said he joined residents of the Ilorin Emirate and the people of Kwara State in celebrating the royal father, whom he described as a unifying and respected figure.
He also offered prayers for the Emir’s continued good health, strength, and wisdom in the years ahead.
The Emir of Ilorin is widely regarded as a revered traditional ruler whose leadership has contributed significantly to cultural preservation and peaceful coexistence in the region.
