Former Vice President has stated that popularity on social media alone will not be enough to win the 2027 presidential election, stressing that Nigeria needs experienced leadership rather than what he described as political experimentation.
Speaking through his media aide, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) must field its strongest candidate if it hopes to unseat President in 2027.
He argued that the country’s worsening economic situation, insecurity and rising debt require a leader with tested experience, strong political structure and the capacity to govern effectively from day one.
The former vice president also pointed to reforms carried out during the administration of former President as evidence of his governance experience.
