Tensions in the Middle East are rising sharply following a series of strikes targeting Iran’s critical infrastructure, fueling fears of a wider regional conflict involving Tehran, Washington, and Israel.

According to reports, Iran has called on its citizens—particularly young people—to help protect key national facilities by forming human chains around power plants. This move comes after renewed threats from Donald Trump, who warned of possible strikes on such infrastructure.

The situation has become more uncertain as a deadline reportedly set by Trump for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz draws near, increasing speculation about potential military action.

Meanwhile, Iranian media outlets report that Kharg Island—a vital oil export center—has been hit by multiple strikes. The island plays a crucial role in Iran’s economy, making it a strategic target in the ongoing conflict.

Earlier in the conflict, U.S. strikes were said to have avoided damaging Iran’s oil facilities. However, Trump has previously hinted at the possibility of targeting or even seizing Kharg Island to gain control over Iran’s oil resources.

Additional reports from U.S. sources suggest that recent strikes have focused on military targets located on the island.

Elsewhere, Iranian media claim that Israeli strikes have impacted transport infrastructure across the country. One such attack reportedly hit the Yahya Abad railway bridge in Kashan, while officials confirmed casualties in Isfahan, where at least two people were killed.

Further strikes have also been reported along the Tabriz-Zanjan freeway in the northwest and on railway lines in Karaj, adding to the growing disruption across multiple regions.

The unfolding situation continues to raise concerns about civilian safety and the potential for further escalation in the region.
